Right now, we are seeking a Driver Logistics Manager to work at our customer’s plant facility in Arlington, Texas to support their operation. Our customer is a large tier-one automotive supplier. This position is responsible for all aspects of the operation that handles shuttle runs from a supplier to the customer’s plant facility and local switching with six (6) drivers. Duties of this position include: management of total customer satisfaction through flawless execution and adherence to pre-established customer critical success factors, management of all areas of transportation to include safety, DOT regulations, and customer service. Some of the specific duties include: managing drivers, dispatching, handling payroll, driver training, conducting safety meeting, handling claims, fleet management, and providing customer communication/service. Education/Experience/Skills/Required Qualifications: • Associates degree or equivalent experience is required with Bachelor’s degree preferred • One to five years or more experience in transportation and/or logistics management required • Must have highly developed leadership, management, communication (written & verbal) organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills • Expert knowledge of ground transportation operations including DOT regulations is essential, and knowledge of on-board truck computer system helpful • Must have the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel • Previous experience managing in a unionized environment desirable • Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word & Excel) required • Must have a Commercial Drivers License (CDL-A) Ryder offers a competitive compensation and full-featured benefit package including health/life insurance, 401(k), tuition assistance’s and employee stock purchase-plan.
