GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under general direction, develops and designs the aesthetics, visual design and/or layout of complex product artwork, component design, marketing materials and packaging to enhance product image. Collaborates with project teams to plan, analyze, organize and execute assigned projects. Diagnoses, by meeting with employees, consultants and/or vendors, to assess effectiveness of product imagery and presentation needs. Manages relationships with external sources relating to design issues. Maintain focus, consistency, and high quality in communications projects in order to promote and reinforce the company's culture, strategy, and vision. Assist company executives in planning and guiding company communications to position the company favorably with internal and external audiences. This position will support the development, planning, and execution of projects which serve both internal and external communication strategies. Top-notch visual design skills and aesthetic sense, excellent writing skills, strong project management, and outstanding customer service/interpersonal relationships are a must. Develops and designs the aesthetics, visual design and/or layout of complex product artwork, component design, marketing materials and packaging to enhance solutions. Collaborates with project teams to plan, analyze, organize and execute assigned projects. Identifies ways to assess effectiveness of product imagery and presentation needs. Three to four years experience in a service-related industry and a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or a related area are preferred. Background/Skills Proven. uncanny visual design and aesthetic sense, including experience with key tools:• Macromedia Flash/ActionScript; some Macromedia Flex experience preferable• Adobe Photoshop/Macromedia Fireworks• Adobe Illustrator/Quark Xpress• Strong experience with Microsoft PowerPoint required Some familiarity with video integration a significant plusAbility to conceptualize “big picture”Marketing mind with an understanding of basic marketing/communications goals and strategies; related coursework in these areas a plusWell-developed communication skills, both written and verbalStrong internal drive towards meeting the expectations and requirements of a diverse internal and external customer baseAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyEDUCATION: Bachelor degree or equivalent; EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years of related experience; Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Requires expert knowledge of industry relevant multimedia software. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Copy Writing: Develops tone and style of written content for company products. Editing: Manages the development and delivery of content related to the company and its image. Employee Communications: Internal communications programs, publications, etc. for employees and managers. Web-Content Development: Edits, writes and enhances copy to establish the required tone and style; ensures consistency of web content.
