John Deere Trainer

POSITION TITLE:              Trainer, John Deere, Level 1

REPORTS TO:                     Administrative Director, John Deere Training

PRIMARY WORKSITE:    Milford Campus/Dallas, Texas          

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Level 1 John Deere Trainer is responsible for providing training and updating of the John Deere courses taught in a classroom/laboratory setting. Assignments for the position include participating in the repair procedures on John Deere agricultural tractors, combines, implements and consumer products. This will include training in theory, testing, diagnostics and service procedures.

Normal work hours for this exempt position are scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, requiring a minimum of a 40-hour workweek and, with the potential of a minimum of ten (10) weeks at remote training locations.  Special projects and assignments and periodic increases in workload may require evening and weekend work on an infrequent basis. This is a full time regular position based on a 260-day work calendar.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in a Transportation Technology related area from an accredited College or University.

OR Associate Degree in a transportation Technology related area from an accredited College or University with a minimum of five (5) years of current industry technician work experience and/or technical instruction experience in an Agricultural/Diesel technology field.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Technical instruction experience in an Agricultural/Diesel Technology field.
