Senior Travel Agent - Floater

Position Description:

We are seeking experienced Senior Travel Counselors to float between various on-site locations in the Houston, Texas area. This position is responsible for booking international and domestic reservations, issuing tickets, and processing ARC logs. About CWT:

Senior Travel Counselor Floater: Position Overview


Responsible for the successful completion of travel arrangements within CWT and client guidelines for multiple clients, meeting the standards of excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

- Creates domestic and international travel arrangements for clients to include air, hotel, and ground transportation.
- Use available sources such as TSS, State Department web sites, news agencies, etc. to stay informed of current international affairs.
- Advises clients of international travel requirements such as visas, passports, immunizations, etc.
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of international pricing rules and procedures.
- Typically supports 5 or more accounts.
- Operates with discretion within well defined policy, regular managerial review.
- Interacts with traveler, travel arranger, and travel manager. Provides 1st level of support for customer service and technical issues.
- Utilizes CWT preferred vendors to maximize profit, and ensures compliance with the clients' travel policy.
- Adheres to CWT standards in delivering customer service including telephone etiquette, and follows prescribed customer service escalation procedures.
- Follows company procedures, guidelines and standards in building Passenger Name Records, utilization of tools, productivity, accuracy of work, and attendance.
- Attends staff and training meetings for ongoing updates in the travel industry and office procedures.
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be flexible with 5 plus years of domestic and international SABRE experience.

- Industry knowledge and reservation skills in order to create domestic, and single destination international reservations.
- Proficiency in a minimum of one CRS, Sabre is required.
- Ability to meet and maintain required performance standards
- Industry knowledge and reservation skills in order to create domestic and international reservations.
- Proficiency in multiple CRS to support client group is a plus.


Position Attributes Floating travel agents ensure appropriate staffing levels, while covering for vacations, leave of absences, and provide high-season support.

These flexible agents have the opportunity to build relationships with multiple valued CWT customers and management teams in the greater Houston area.

If desired, successful floating agents will be eligible to apply for other internal opportunities after 1 year of service.
