Technical Assistant Position

 

Job Summary:

 

Part-time position. Responsible for working with Publications Coordinator to maintain maximum level of exposure for our partners



Job Duties & Responsibilities:

 Daily maintenance to website (updates to the events page, vacation packages page, and any partner additions, or cancellations, adding press releases and newsworthy items)

 Facebook & Myspace updatingMaintain MailerMailer database and send out newsletters from Director of Marketing Creation of any Finger Lakes regional ads for approvalIn-house design needs such as sales pieces, business cards, ads for partners and presentationsResponding to requests for photosCoordinate logistics for deliver of guides to office Daily maintenance of database (updates of information from our partners)Collect ads from our partners as neededCollect Excel file from each county on additions or subtractions to the accommodations grids for the travel guideSend out RFP to printers for quote on publication printing costs.Set up meetings with the various committees for publications Responsible to assist with all necessary design, development, proofing and oversight of production of publications

 

Skills:

 MUST have a good eye for design, and attention to detailPrevious experience working with a printer a plusAbility to meet deadlines.Good organizational skillsProficient computer skills required in these programs:

 QuarkXPressDreamweaverPhotoshopMicrosoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)IllustratorAdobe ProductsAccess

 

Education and Experience:Associates DegreeMinimum 2 years technical computer experience
