We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Approvals Coordinator at our facility located in Detroit, MI. 

EQ Detroit is one of the largest waste processing facilities in the United States. Located in the heart of the Motor City, EQ Detroit can be accessed by both truck and direct rail service. Our container management services include docking bays and storage of nearly 4,000 drums. The operation also provides technical support and full laboratory services to help you meet waste characterization needs.

Job Responsibilities include:Review paperwork and samples for completeness, safety with respect to treatment/disposal, and compliance with all applicable regulations/permits.Identify potential waste stream problems and direct such waste streams to the proper department.Assist customers in the proper completion of waste profiles and work with customers to achieve proper completion in a timely manner.Provide technical support to the sales department.Review re-approvals to ensure continued compliance with applicable regulations/permits.Set up and maintain approvals at TSDFs for outbound shipments.Arrange and monitor direct shipments to alternate TSDFs.Maintain communication with sales and customer service staff.Act as a liaison between the operations and sales departments.Assist with manifest discrepancies.Provide technical support in any special projects.Assist in paperwork completion for outbound shipmentsAbility to function and perform duties at various EQ facilities.

 

Job Qualifications include:Bachelors degree in chemistry, biology, life science, or a related field.  Strong background in EPA/MDEQ/DOT/TSCA(PCB) regulations.  Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to work within a team environment.  Ability to manage multiple projects and perform consistently under time constraints.
