Compensation Analyst

Clean Harbors Environmental Services, ranked 5th by the Boston Globe in their Best of Massachusetts Businesses 2007 and voted Company of the Year 2006 by the Boston Business Journal is searching for a Compensation Analyst to be based at the Corporate Headquarters in Norwell, MA.

 

As a Compenstation Analyst for Clean Harbors you will provide analytical HR support in the development and administration of compensation programs by providing thorough and detailed compensation evaluations and analyses; advising line managers and recruiters on compensation administration, procedures/policies, equity analysis and job evaluation & by participating in market studies.

 Manage all external market surveys and internal employee surveys and make recommendations on  changes needed.
Work to ensure internal consistency among policies, procedures, practices and computer-based tools that will facilitate greater program effectiveness and help to eliminate unnecessary costs.
Manage day to day transactions in People Soft system (promotions, title changes, collective bargaining agreements, merit increases)
Assist in merit and bonus process and payouts
Manage job descriptions and job codes for US & Canada
Assist in implementation of recognition program and ongoing administration.
Create ad hoc reports as needed.
Partner with Compensation Director and EVP on Compensation projects and initiatives.
 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Strong analytical skillsAttention to detail & follow throughKnowledge of government regulations as they apply to compensation and company policies and operations.Previous experience administering compensation plans. Excellent communication skills.Strong working knowledge of HRIS – People Soft preferred.Demonstrated advanced level Excel & Word capabilityOutstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Demonstrated ability to track and handle multiple projects and tasks


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Business, HR or other relevant discipline. 2+ years of experience in HR, Finance or related field
