Customer Service Representative - Central Services

Clean Harbors Environmental Services, ranked 5th on the Boston Globe's list of 'The Best Massachusetts Businesses 2007' and voted Company of the Year 2006 by the Boston Business Journal is searching for a Customer Service Representative to be based at the corporate headquarters located in Norwell, MA.

 

This is not your typical call center position as the CSR supports customer interaction in one of two ways : by making proactive external calls or by receiving and responding to inbound calls.  The department supports a technical customer base and needs a representative that is not afraid to learn the nature of our business and how it relates to the terminology that the CSR will be exposed to daily.  The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, be extremely focused on customer service, be able to follow through and prioritize issues needing resolution. The ideal candidate may also have been involved in hazardous waste management services in the past, although this is not required. Some knowledge of chemistry and lab packing, waste streams, and profiling waste streams will be helpful.

 



The CSR in the Central Services Department is responsible for the review and approval of T&D Sales Orders and scheduling with the disposal outlet for direct shipments.

 

Responsible for reviewing and approving T&D sales orders ensuring maximum profitability for each, supervises daily activities of Order Placement group.

 

Receives in the WIN system for direct ships.

 

Responsible for cutting sales orders for T&D Customers (drum, bulk and direct ship).

 

1-3 years Customer Service experience,and 2-4 years industry experience is preferred.

BA/BS Degree in Environmental Science or Studies is preferred.
