Director of Transportation
More than 2,900 People Pursuing One Vision Casella's vision is simple: be the best integrated solid waste services company in North America. Making that vision a reality takes the teamwork and dedication of the more than 2,900 highly skilled people who work in Casella's unified family of waste management companies. Stretching across the Northeast, into the upper tier of Pennsylvania and the southeastern United States as well as into Wisconsin and Michigan, these resources make Casella unique in its ability to offer customer service and expertise in every area of non-hazardous solid waste management—from residential and commercial service to multi-location waste management that may span several states. Creating value for the homeowner looking for convenient and reliable curbside pickup is where Casella's vision began and it remains one of our most important goals. But as the challenges of solid waste management grow, our vision extends to the more complex needs of towns, businesses and municipalities. At these levels, creating value for our customers can mean everything from designing and operating state-of-the-art, double-lined landfills that meet strict environmental regulations to engineering the safe production of electricity through the incineration of non-recyclable waste or meeting the demand for recycled and reprocessed products. The strength of our vision lies in Casella's ability to put its resources to work whenever and wherever they're needed. And for our many customers this translates to the value of a single, reliable source of waste management and recycling services no matter how large or small their needs. Who We Are Today With hundreds of thousands of customers, from single residences to entire towns or companies, Casella Waste Systems is the best, integrated waste management company in the Northeast. Our unified family of companies provides residential, commercial and municipal waste management and recycling solutions for communities and organizations throughout our service areas. And while most of our customers still associate waste disposal with the local transfer station or the familiar truck that picks up their weekly trash, their attitudes about waste management have changed. For many, recycling is a common practice. More and more people are aware of how unmanaged disposal and transfer sites can affect their health and the environment. Where we once simply tossed waste into unlined dumps, we now build and operate highly technical , state-of-the-art, double-lined regional landfills. Where few, if any, standards existed, today we develop comprehensive waste management strategies that meet strict federal, state and local regulations. For Casella, growing from a one-truck operation to a complex waste disposal business was all part of serving our customers. We've been able to anticipate—and take advantage of—opportunities to create economically and environmentally sound solutions to local waste problems sensitive to public policy. As we've grown, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to providing the best service we can possibly offer. Today, as always, Casella is in the business of creating value for our customers, our investors and the communities we serve.
