Education and Municipal Marketing Coordinator

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is currently seeking to fill the position of Education and Municipal Marketing Coordinator, working in their MA Market Area, headquartered in Auburn, MA. The ideal candidate will: • Have a working knowledge of current market conditions and changes. • Strategically identify single stream market opportunities and implement marketing  programs under the direction of The Director of Marketing. • Prepare and develop tour presentations for education institutions, local  municipalitites and government officials. • Communicate with various municipalities inquiring on marketing information. • Understand and participate in the development of service procedures and coordinate  synergies between hauling and recycling. • Develop and review Sales Forecast and Price/Volume reports along with sound  marketing plans with Regional Management. • Exhibit effective communication with regards to the company’s overall municipal  strategies. • Participate in the organization of MA municipal trade shows. • Interact with media as required.Technical requirements of this position include:• Preparing presentations for government and educational markets. • The ability to prepare and present complex pro-formas. • A thorough understanding of recycling goals and the ability to successfully  communicate these goals and achievements to our existing and prospective customers. • The ability to actively participate in public speaking engagements. • Knowledge of databases, programming, sales tracking, and market research.A Bachelor’s degree in Business or the equivalent of three to five years of related sales/marketing/industry experience is required for this position.Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is a member of the EPA Climate Leaders Program and is committed to the development of long-term comprehensive climate change strategies.
