Position Description:

JOB SUMMARY:Assists in the local administration of PSC’s Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety programs, policies and procedures; manages site and/or project-specific environmental, health and safety operations in accord with applicable regulations and in support of a safe and healthy work environment.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Supports operations EHS activities and assists the operations staff in fostering a zero tolerance culture, thereby ensuring environmental and safety compliance* Understands applicable regulations and assists with development and implementation of programs to ensure compliance * Assists with the training and orientation of new-hire employees; participates in the development and conduct of EHS and DOT compliance training * Ensures all EHS and DOT recordkeeping is properly documented and maintained in a well-organized manner* Assists in the management of environmental permit requirements* Strictly enforces EHS regulations, policies and procedures, and the application of the Safe On Purpose program* Conducts inspections and audits as required to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies and procedures* Assists in mitigation of hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through interface with management and field personnel* Responds to management, customer and agency requests for EHS information on a timely and appropriate basis * Participates in incident investigations; ensures timely and complete reporting and documentation of all incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions/activities* Compiles and submits regulatory reports and statistical updates* Serves as Project Site EHS Officer for larger projects requiring a dedicated EHS representative* Performs other duties as requiredEDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:* BS in Environmental Management and/or Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline; or 2 year associate degree and equivalent combination of EHS, technical, or construction related experienceJOB RELATED EXPERIENCE:* Minimum 3 years of practical field experience in a service or plant environment DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:* Technical and working knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations with exposure to DOT regulations* 40 HR OSHA certification * Valid drivers license * Excellent problem solving abilities* Strong verbal and written communication skills* Strong organizational aptitude* Strong computer skills * Strong coaching, planning, training and presentation skills WORKING CONDITIONS:* 75% Plant or field related activity* 25% Office / administrative related activity* Travel requiredThis position is based in Deer Park, TexasPSC OffersMedical, Dental and VisionCompany Paid Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment InsuranceCompany Paid Log-Term & Short-Term InsuranceCompany Matched 401K
