Safety-Kleen is seeking a seasoned National Accounst Manager in Dallas / Houston Area- Central Region with experience in major account new business development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and implement strategic sales plans for National Accounts to support the Company in achieving profitable revenue growth (e.g., detailed revenue potential estimates for all sites, analysis of decision process and key players, weekly plans for activity and revenue growth for each account).Deepen existing business relationships by continuing increasing account satisfaction; with ownership for appropriate contractual relationships service requirements follow up with service delivery and delivering ever improving customer service.Successfully propose, negotiate, and close profitable revenue opportunities at existing and new account locations by leveraging strong relationships with senior environmental and operations executivesEffectively communicate the account strategy to the marketing team, field sales organization and any other internal customers and stakeholders.Provide leadership to internal organization by partnering with and adding direction, training and coaching to line management, field sales and service force to ensure that goals are attained.Evaluate customer needs, understand market drivers and forces, and ensure appropriate service/product delivery and pricing.Understand account profitability, value, and potential to develop strategy to maximize profit and increase market share.Collaborate with the Marketing team to design sales and promotional materials and new offerings to target new and existing segments.Seek out and develop additional SK National Accounts within a sector using established criteria of current or potential revenue, central control of multiple national / international locations.
REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management or related field or equivalent.Ten years sales/marketing experience with a minimum of two years Fortune 1000 account management experience.A proven record of corporate-level sales success with accounts greater than $500K in environmental, industrial service/supply or automotive-related field.Experience selling to and negotiating with senior-level management.Comfortable in a complex selling environment that requires strategic solution selling skillsSuperior time management and organizational skillsProven leadership abilityAbility to think strategically and creativelyFamiliar with contract language and negotiation – able to work both independently and within a team to negotiate and close large complex contracts.Understanding of account profitability.Exceptional ability to identify, evaluate and capitalize on new business opportunities.Must be willing to maintain a heavy travel schedule.
