Tax Manager

The Tax Manager assists in all aspects of the Company's federal, state and Canadian tax administration and planning in support of the overall department goals.

Responsibilities include performing technical tax research on domestic and foreign issues related to characterization of income, withholding tax as well as opportunities for credits and exemptions.  The position will perform research in support of M&A activity as well as restructuring opportunities both domestically and internationally.

Assist in the analysis and review of corporate schedules, tax filings and assist the external auditors with quarterly and annual audits by providing them with proper documentation and analysis supporting tax positions and calculations.

Strengthen and continually improve the department procedures to enable timely review, action and resolution of operational tax issues. 

Review of disclosure requirements and assist in preparation of external reporting documentation on a timely basis.

Drive significant improvement in defining and establishing automated access to ERP data for tax reporting, queries and audit investigations.  Lead project manager for automating the Federal Return process.

Ideal candidates will be self-motivated with 7-10 years of corporate income tax experience as well as planning, research, and financial reporting, preferably in large corporate tax environment.
Experience working in a multi-state environment; International experience strongly considered.

Individual must be results orientated with the ability to assume greater responsibility with growth of company.  Prior experience in supervision of tax professionals is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and exceptional organizational skills required.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required as well as CPA or MST.
