Accountant - Staff

Job Description
The Staff Accountant will assist Bell & Ross Inc. to build and establish its internal processes and procedures around theoperations, accounting and finance functions, as well as oversea theday-to-day accounting and finance functions of the company.

Establish and maintain Sarbanes-Oxley related internal control processes and procedures
Month end close, Budget, GL, P&L, cost center and balance sheet responsibility
Proactively provide reporting and cost analysis to managers and executives on all aspects of the operations
Operational responsibility for payroll, invoice processingand collections
Organize, train and develop accounting department staff Manage tight deadlines, scope and converging opinions to solutions in timely manner
Develop executive communications including; memos, reports, presentation slides, and analysis
Analysis of complex situations, distillation of the issues into strategic options and driving to appropriate conclusions
Impromptu reporting, analysis and problem resolution

Experience Required:
Professional designations as CPA preferred
Working knowledge of foreign exchange contracts and arbitrage possibilities prefered
Demonstrated increase in duties and responsibilities over the length of the professional career required
Proven ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment required
Working knowledge of Quickbooks Pro, Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint required
Proven ability to develop policies and procedure as the business changes and matures is highly desirable
  2-5 years of related experience

Position Requirements /Scope of the Job/ Skills Required:
A solid working knowledge of accounting, GAAP, general ledger processing and reporting
Demonstrated initiative, independent thinker and worker
Detail-oriented. Comfortable working with numerical data and information
Analytical and logical. Able to develop hypotheses and conclusions while identifying assumptions.
Experienced with Microsoft Office software, proficient with MS Excel and QuickBooks
Excellent communications skills – both verbal and written
Advanced problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage work load and meet project deadlines
Track record in business process improvement
Ability to consistently meet deadlines with desired results

Measurement of Success:
The Accounting Manager will be evaluated based on:
(a) Accuracy and timeliness of month end close process, including all provided reports and analysis
(b) Ability to institute metrics, standards, and procedures
(c) Ability to perform analysis of complex situations, distillationof the issues into strategic options and driving to appropriateconclusions while working with senior management.
(d) Ability to minimize past due accounts receivable balances
