Accounts Receivable Clerk

Job Purpose:

Secures revenue by verifying and posting receipts, and converting sales orders to invoices.  Assists Office Manager in maintaining office and accounting systems in a small-business environment.  Employer is a well-established distributor of commercial equipment, parts and service.



Duties:

* Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.


* Answers inquiries on customers' accounts.





* Reviews sales orders and service tickets, and converts to invoices.



* Answers phones; opens and distributes mail.



* Prepares bank deposits.



* Orders office supplies.


* General office duties: filing, copying, faxing, etc.





Skills/Qualifications:

Organization, Data Entry Skills, General Math Skills, Word Processing and Spreadsheet Software, Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Verbal Communication, Willingness to work with others to get the job done.
