Description of Assistant Controller / Treasurer

Duties of Assistant Controller / Treasurer include, but are not limited to:

·  Manage financial aspects of customer and producer portfolios

·  Stay in touch with client and financial institution contacts.

·  Prepare, present cost analysis proposals.

·  Conduct research for cost savings within the vendor and service providers' portfolios.

·  Cost analysis of Customer transportation and port service requirements for bulk, break bulk and container shipments

·  Review and report on various cost and accounting issues on daily financial matters

·  Maintain daily accounting entries via use of accounting software Quick Books, Invoicing via custom software AIMS and maintain customer database (utilizing ACT software).

·  Analyize contracts, financial agreements or producer reports for contract or purchase order requirements.

·  Good candidate will have an analytical mind with great personality to help customers and teammates. 




Requirements for Assistant Controller / Treasurer

·  Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance

 Min. 3-5 yrs experience, AFTER college in accounting or finance related position. CPAs are welcomed.
Proficiency in Windows, MS Word, and Excel.
Self-motivated and dependable, able to work with little or no supervision
Excellent verbal & written communication & interpersonal skills
