Position Title:

Branch Operations Manager (Commensurate with experience)

 

Summary: The branch operations supervisor will be responsible for all activities related to staffing and executing all receiving, storage, inventory control and shipping/delivery processes. In addition, this position is responsible for facility maintenance and all security procedures and practices.

This location is one of four NEFCO Branches.

 

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:

      1)   Develop and execute daily and weekly action plans to meet department and                   warehouse performance expectations.

2)      Ensure orders and inter-branch transfers are picked, checked and packed and loaded per company guidelines and procedures.

 

3)      Ensure accuracy/integrity of orders (correct material/quantity and acceptable quality/delivery)

 

4)      Work with inventory control manager and staff to minimize material ‘can’t finds’.

 

5)      Process all parcel package shipments and less than truckload shipments with those carriers providing cost-effective and quality service.

 

6)      Provide motivating work environment for staff with high levels of performance and standards being the norm. Communicate policies to ensure compliance and consistently administer corrective action as necessary. Foster communication and teamwork among staff to ensure accomplishment of operational goals.

 

7)      Accepts responsibility for company projects that may be indirectly related to his/her area of responsibility.

 

8)      Works with distribution center team members in order to ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse and processing areas. Ensure that safe work practices are followed maintaining an overall safe work environment.

 

 

Qualifications and Background:

1)      Must have a track record of being a results-oriented person who has worked in hard goods warehousing/distribution operations for 5+ years at a supervisory level.

 

2)      Must be effective communicator up, down and across the organization.

 

3)      Must have strong problem solving skills with critical eye for problem recognition.

 

4)      Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of Activant / Eclipse and/or other warehouse management systems.

 

5)      Ability to operate warehouse equipment and be recertified.

 

6)      Must be detail-oriented and hands on ‘roll up the sleeves’ type with aptitude for multi-tasking and adapting to a fast paced environment with ever changing priorities.

 

7)      Must have effective interpersonal skills with ability to direct, coach, support and delegate to associates.

 

8)      Must possess effective time management skills.

 

9)      Bachelors Degree preferred.
