And we offer our customers commitment to focus on their needs, which we do by constantly asking ourselves, "If I were the customer. . ."Business Analyst LagasseSweet an $900 million subsidiary of United Stationers, Inc., and industry leading wholesale distributor of janitorial, sanitation, food service, safety, industrial, and paper disposable supplies has an opportunity for a Financial Reporting Analyst  in our Chicago (Deerfield) location.Responsibilities: Prepare daily: Division sales and margin reports Warehouse sales and margin reports Daily sales metrics graphs Intracompany sales reports Compile monthly: Regional Business Team financial reports Operations warehouse financial reports Top 25 vendors and customers reports Corporate departmental operating expense detail and variance analyses Shrinkage report Purchase price variance report Inventory reports Prepare ad hoc financial analyses utilizing queries on the company’s data warehouse Track data in the firm’s ERP system Utilize the Acorn ABC costing system Assist in preparing Operations budgets and forecasts Look for ways to automate daily reporting on the sales dashboard Provide analytical support for Director of Finance  Requirements; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business 2-5 years accounting or finance experience Extensive knowledge of Excel Experience in using financial data warehouses and ERP systems Knowledge of how to complete general ledger – sub ledger account reconciliations Experience in working with general ledger systems Ability to work independently Helpful Additional Experience: Prior work providing financial support for warehouse/distribution operations Cost accounting Variance analysis Preparation of budgets and forecasts Activity-based costing (ABC) experienceNo relocation available.Lagasse provides competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
