CTS Systems Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES:Plan, install, configure & maintain the hardware, operating systems & non-business applications of operational systems including; Networks (wired and wireless), servers & PBXs to meet the requirements for availability & responsiveness in accordance with established SLAs (Service level Agreements).Measure, analyze & report on the resource utilization, & capacity of operational systems including servers, networks (wired and wireless), make recommendations & implement changes & upgrades to maintain or improve system performance.Plan, coordinate and perform server and network changes and upgrades in accordance with pre-established procedures.Maintain configuration of systems & network components, enterprise wide, in the configuration management database.Develop, implement & maintain security polices that protect & preserve the integrity of all infrastructure operating systems, applications & data files by preventing, detecting & containing unsolicited e-mail, viruses, intrusions & service interruptions.Evaluate requests or projects, analyze requirements & pertinent technical information, develop detailed recommendations including alternate solutions & where appropriate, develop implementation plans & install & configure the solution.Maintain voice communications equipment including programming, configuration and maintenance of switch systems and monitors operational performance. Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery procedures, participate in drills, recovery actions and emergency operations in accordance with established procedures.Maintain technical service procedures and department documentation.Analyze complex (Level III) system and networking problems, develops and documents solutions and coordinates their implementation according to pre-established procedures.Maintain systems and networking standards.Stay abreast of current technologies within area of responsibility, identify and recommend mainstream technologies and solutions to enhance the customer service operation.  Evaluate, test and prepare detailed reports and recommendations for new technologies and solutions. QUALIFICATIONS:

· Formal training in computer hardware, software and networking generally obtained from an Associates Degree, Technical School, or 4 to 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) and A+ certifications preferred.

· 4 to 5 years of hands-on infrastructure experience.

· Prior experience supporting a minimum 400 seat Windows 2000/2003/XP and AS/400 environment. Detailed knowledge of Intel servers, local and wide area networks, voice systems, Exchange 2003, Active Directory and remote access and control software. Working knowledge of AS/400 systems. Intermediate proficiency with MSWord, MSExcel, MSOutlook and PowerPoint. Project management experience.

· Must be detail oriented, possess excellent follow up, communications and people skills, very organized & an outstanding team player.

· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
