Collections/Credit Manager

Silmar Electronics, one of the largest independent distributors of security, fire, CCTV, Access Control, Commercial & Residential Sound Systems and Home distribution systems is seeking a Credit/Collections Manager. Based from the Miami corporate office, this position will support a total of 9 locations in 2 states.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative self starter with at least 5+ years of related hands-on experience with accounts receivables and collections. Must have experience with Florida Lien Law, Notice to Owner documents, and Notice of Commencement documents. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; administer and enforce the company's credit and collections policies and procedures. Establish credit lines for new and existing accounts based on financial condition and risk. Review aged collection reports and call past due accounts to obtain payment status and collections. Analyze and resolve payment disputes and deductions made by customers. Develop and maintain favorable customer relations. Qualifications will include: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, Five years experience in credit and collections, and supervisory experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Ideal candidate must have; 4 yr degree, Florida Lien Law exp., and min. 5 yrs supervisory/mgmt. exp.

The ideal candidate must also be able to guide and train the accounts receivable staff, interface with outside sales staff, and senior management.
