Based in beautiful Asheville, NC, the company imports interesting and character-filled wines from Europe.Position DescriptionThe Director of Operations is an objectives-based, highly accountable, hands-on position who is directly accountable to theCEO. The Director of Operations provides day-to-day operational andadministrative leadership for the company’s key functional areas: 1)Distributor Management and Service, 2) Product Supply and Fulfillment,3) Financial Management, 4) Accounting and Reporting, and 5) General Administration. To be successful the Director of Operations must have a high energy level, be willing to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, be able to meet and manage deadlines, and be able to multitask.Superior business acumen is essential. The Director of Operations is a person with a strong personality who will have the courage of his/her convictions in providing company leadership. The Director of Operations is accountable for his/her decisions, is a “self-starter” and a“hands-on” problem solver who makes the business run smoothly and who delivers bottom-line results. Required Experience, Qualifications, and Personal AttributesA. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detailB. Self-starterC. The ability to prioritize, make decisions, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high pressure environmentD. A team player with a willingness to pitch in and assist in other areas not directly related to their roleE. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. F. Strong computer skills to include Excel, Outlook, and databases.G. A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.H. Knowledge of Quickbooks a plus but not required.I. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business preferred.J.
