Distribution Center Manager

Global Motorsport Group, Inc., a leading distributor of after market motorcycle parts, with locations in Northern and Central California, Missouri and Pennsylvania, has an opening for Distribution Center Manager opening in its Visalia, CA. Distribution Center. This is a hands-on role. The position reports to the Director of Logistics.

 

The position responsibilities include:Management of all aspects of the DC including staff, expenses and financial performance Development of systems and procedures for operating and managing staff, equipment, products and physical facilities in an efficient and profitable manner Identification of areas for continuous improvement Establishment of performance objectives, productivity and quality standards and cross training Conducting established safety meetings Development and support of suitable programs for maintaining acceptable standards of sanitation, maintenance, security, housekeeping and safety of equipment and facilities to assure efficient operation

 

The position qualifications include:10+ years of progressively responsible experience in shipping/receiving, operations management, inventory control, facility management and logistics. Understanding of Root Cause Analysis and SOP maintenance Superior verbal and written communication skills JD Edwards experience 10+ years of associate (associates, leads and manager) management experience MS office proficiency BS/BA Business Administration or Distribution Certification strongly preferred

 

The Distribution Center Manager will be a key member of the Logistics Leadership Team in a fast paced environment with frequently shifting priorities. Compensation, dependant on experience.
