Job ID: 13170Position Description:MAJOR PURPOSEResponsible to provide superior customer service by delivering products and services to meet or exceed customer expectations.II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES• Builds strong customer relationships, loyalty and retention• Supports local Export territory managers with quotations and developing relationships with key customers• Manages the fulfillment of an order from entry to delivery to customer or forwarder.• Tracks open orders and provide regular updates to customers and sales representative on status.• Assists customers in the selection of Grainger product• Works effectively with others in a team based environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems• Coordinates with carriers and forwarders the delivery and shipping of goods to ultimate consigneePosition Requirements:• Orientation of the export community (forwarders, consolidators, logistic companies, freight and air couriers)• Working knowledge of U.S. export regulations• Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision within specified time frames.• Customer service and order entry experience• Demonstrates a commitment to providing superior customer service.• Must feel comfortable working in a dynamic, team-based environment where priorities are continually changing.• Interpersonal skills to work closely with customers, field operations, suppliers, and personnel.• Cross-cultural sensitivity• Attentive to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet software• Working knowledge of various credit/payment methodsGrainger is a Fortune 500 company and the leading broad line supplier of facilities maintenance products serving businesses and institutions throughout North America with sales of over $5 billion.
