German Speaking CFO

W. Schillig L.P., a contemporary furniture company, is currently seeking an experienced, German speaking Chief Financial Officer to manage US based accounting practices and act as the financial liaison with our German Corporate headquarters and Chinese facilities. The ideal candidate must be a self-motivated, “hands-on” individual with strong analytical skills and a working knowledge in both US and European accounting laws. This person must work efficiently and effectively in fast-growing work environment while carrying out various job responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following:

 

1)  Oversee and directing budgeting as well as create monthly budget reports.

2)  Prepare all financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and reports to shareholders.

3)  Monthly Recap by  Product Line

4)  Reconcile bank accounts

5)  Post fixed assets to general ledger and maintain cumulated depreciation ledger

6)  Perform all inter-company transactions as well as maintain a spreadsheet thereof

7)  Perform all payroll functions such as working with Paychex, recording payroll journals, and maintaining payroll files for employees.

8)  Prepare and oversee all state and federal tax issues as well as audits

9)  Maintain inventory ledger, calculate valuation, and perform periodic counts

 

Job Skills:Strong analytical and organizational skillsWorking knowledge of US and European financial lawsExcellent communication skills.Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage priorities

 

Job Requirements:4 – Year Bachelors Degree in Accounting (CPA and/or MBA a plus)5 – Years experience in an international business environmentWritten and verbal German skillsStrong computer skills using Excel and Peachtree
