Human Resources Generalist

GENERAL PURPOSE:

 

Under general direction, the HR Generalist will perform a variety of professional level administrative, technical, and analytical duties. The HR Analyst will support the Human Resources functions including recruitment, classification, ADP payroll, 401-k process, employee relations, policy and procedures and will perform other duties as assigned

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 Assisting in the coordination and implementation of recruitment and selection activities Assisting in announcement development, application screening, evaluations, pre-employment, and training development. Interview job applicants; review application/resume; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant's qualifications.Develop and maintain relationship with employment agencies, universities and other recruitment sources.Prepare and maintain company salary structure, job documentation, and job evaluation systemRun Background checks on new applicantsSeek temporary personnel when needed Keep track of all EEO sheets and file away in separate fileFill-out and submit requisition for HR Invoices Providing assistance with employee relations issuesConsulting with managers and employees regarding the interpretation of personnel practices,policies,and procedures, including laws and regulations and employee disciplinary action. Conduct new employee orientation explaining all company policies and benefits Conduct payroll on a weekly basis when neededProviding assistance with 401-k Plan when needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or 5 years equivalent work experience Fully bilingual (English and Spanish) both written and orallyKnowledge of Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.Proficient in ADP Payroll and 401-k Experience preferableReportsmith Experience preferablePHR Certification preferable
