POSITION TYPE: Full Time, EmployeeJOB CATEGORY: Logistics/TransportationEDUCATION LEVEL: High School or equivalentSALARY: DOE Imports Compliance Ventura County Company seeking an experienced Import Compliance candidate to assist in their Imports department for a fast growing distribution company. Job Purpose: Candidate will interface with Customs and Customs Broker to ensure all procedures, documentation, licenses, trademarks, agreements and other government agency requirements are in compliance. Active role in providing compliance support and training for all Import purchases and to provide guidance to Buyers regarding classification and duty rates Classify Import products to ensure proper compliance and cost planning. Work with Import team to ensure compliance with regulations, licenses, etc. Check documentation for accuracy and communicate with Buyers to resolve discrepancies. Perform entry audits, reconcile discrepancies and submit post-entry adjustments. Maintain record keeping databases and develop other compliance tracking tools. Interface with Buyers and Global Sourcing to provide guidance on Import issues. Request Binding Rulings and contact U.S. Customs for product verification. Keep updated on all US Customs compliance changes in regulations Develop compliance training programs. Oversee Import A/P processes. Able to read, analyze and interpret complex documents The right candidate should be able to express themselves in writing in a professional way.Education and/or Experience: Must have working knowledge of HTSUS, CFRs and import documentation procedures 2-5 yrs experience required with customs house brokers  About Ultimate Staffing Want to work with people who care about your personal and professional growth?
