Java Software Developer

The C. D. Hartnett Company, a wholesale food distributor in the state of Texas, seeks a Java Software Developer to join our organization in Weatherford Texas.



Duties and Responsibilities:


 Responsible for the design, development, testing and maintenance of The C. D. Hartnett Company internal and external web applications.

 

Minimum Qualifications for Consideration:



Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.  Experience in Food / Grocery Industry a plus.  Must have three (3) years in web-based application development. Strong understanding of database and user interface design.  Must be able to build graphically appealing and easy to use interfaces consistent with existing applications. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:


The ability to design and develop web applications using Java, JavaScript, JSP, Servlets, HTML, CSS, DB2, SQL, and Ajax

Strong level of discretion, professionalism, personal ownership and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills both oral and written

Strong organizational and problem solving skills.

Experience in developing applications for handheld devices a plus

Previous experience developing web based order entry systems a plus.

Willing to learn an additional programming language as necessary
