Network Administrator

We are currently seeking a Network Administrator to work in our headquarters location in Farmingdale, N.Y.

 

Job Responsibilities:

- Spec out, order, and install/configure HP Proliant servers with Windows 2003 Server, VMware ESX, Citrix Presentation Server, and other server based applications.

- Diagnose server support issues.  Requires strong working knowledge of Windows 2003 Server, Active Directory, Citrix Presentation Server, VMware ESX, and Exchange 2003.

- Maintain OS patches, security updates and system upgrades. Requires knowledge of scripting tools and WSUS.

- Diagnose connectivity issues that may relate to LAN and WAN, VPN, and internet connectivity.  Coordinate with service provider for resolution of circuit outages.

-Understanding of network devices, protocols and architectures.

- Maintain system backups

- Maintain documentation for server and network equipment.

- Provide 2nd level support for pc related support issues.

- Log and resolve trouble tickets in support database.

 

Experience Required:

5+ years experience with Server/Network Administration.

BA/BS degree preferred

MCSA or MCSE, CCNA or CCNP, and CCA or CCEA certifications desired

Good analytical and troubleshooting skills

Good written and oral communication skills

 

Skills Required:

Windows 2000/2003 Server, Active Directory, Citrix Presentation Server, Exchange 2003 - 2007, VMWare ESX, SAN experience, Blackberry Ent. Server, IIS, WSUS, Firewall experience, Anti-Virus software, Anti-Spam software, Windows 2000 Professional/XP/Vista, Visio, Wireless security, server management tools

 

Skills Desired:

EMC Clarion SAN, SQL 2000-2005, Cisco routers/switches, Cisco Call Manager/Unity, Cisco ASA, CiscoWorks, Barracuda Spam firewall, GFI management tools, network analysis and management tools
