Ocean Export, Document Processing Agent

If you have experience processing ocean export shipments as a member of a freight forwarder or NVOCC firm, have a great attitude, have demonstrated the ability to process shipments accurately and timely, and would like to enjoy the rewards of being in a fast growth, high energy company, then this job may be for you.

 

Transworld Logistics Group (TLG) is a global logistics and transportation company that prides itself in providing personal and high quality service to its clients by hiring and retaining sharp individuals with an excellent attitude towards their customers, team members, and the company. TLG is in a growth mode and is looking to add two more highly motivated people to its staff to process ocean export shipments.

 

Responsibilities include:

- Receive shipment orders from the Customer Service group and enter shipment information

- Review documentation with Shipper's Letter of Instruction (SLI) and/or Letter of Credit for accuracy

- Communicate with Customer Service group for any requirements and/or exceptions found

- Coordinate pickup and warehouses needs with third party suppliers.

- Prepare and issue documentation such as Dock Receipts, AES transmission, freight invoice, Bill of Lading (B/L), Certificate of Origin, and Insurance Certificate.

- Arrange for legalization of documents

- Update Track and Trace.

- Distribute documents and make copies in accordance with shipper's, TLG’s and/or destination country requirements.

- Ensure payable and receivable documents are completed accurately and forwarded on time.

- Ensure that the file contains all necessary document copies in proper sequence

- Trace shipment through all transit points up to final destination (where applicable), advise clients and managers of any irregularities.

- Close files.

- Other duties as requested.

 

Required skills and experience:

- Ocean export experience

- Accurate and detail oriented

- Able to effectively multi-task

- Computer literate with experience in MS Excel and Word.

- Able to work in fast paced environment.

- Team player.
