Our client, a leader in the wholesale distribution of valves, fittings, tubing, flanges and related parts to the marine, manufacturing, construction and engineering markets has an opening for a Purchasing and Inventory Control Coordinator.

Reporting to the President, the person selected for this newly created position will assist in developing, managing and driving the purchasing processes and systems company wide and monitoring and ensuring efficient and accurate inventory levels and availability to customers in an expedient manner.

The successful candidate will initiate, and process Purchase Orders from inception through delivery; establish and maintain warehouse stocking and obsolescence levels; coordinate the receiving process; cycle count in central and satellite warehouse locations; contribute to developing and maintaining a centralized, cross-referencing database; develop sourcing guidelines and standardized procedures; resolve supply/demand imbalances.

To qualify, you should bring 3-5 years experience in Purchasing and Inventory Control, strong written and oral communication skills, excellent analytical problem solving and critical thinking skills, and the energy and willingness to grow with a dynamic company. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but we will also consider candidates with a HS Degree and related experience.
