REGIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER - WESTERN REGION

Founded in 1988, Pasternak Wine Imports is a national importer of fine wines and spirits from France, Spain, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Chile and California. Our producers are leaders in their regions and their portfolios are all exceptional in quality and value.  The Company has an immediate opening for Regional Account Manager to be responsible for accounts in Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and California.  To be most effective the individual should reside in the Los Angeles or San Francisco areas.  The position reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager

 

Job Description:Maximize the sales of Pasternak Wine Imports brands to the Trade and Consumer through effective territory planning and relationship building with Key Accounts and distributors’ sales representatives.Must have existing and be able to develop multi-unit/chain relationships to increase market shareSelling, merchandising, and promotional activity aimed at building Pasternak brands in the market.Brand building.Must possess a keen understanding of all trade channels in the market.Conduct wine presentations and educational seminars.Participate in trade and consumer tastings/shows.Key Account management, including but not limited to, monitoring trade (retail and restaurant) pricing; developing and conducting educational tastings/seminars with distributor personnel and on/off premise staff to achieve distribution and depletion goals for the territory.

 

Position Requirements:Minimum of 3 years experience in selling Imported Wines in supplier, distributor, restaurant, or retail environments required.Must have existing relationships with Multi-unit/Chain suppliersProven track record of new business development.Proven track record to survey/evaluate sales opportunities.Proven ability to sustain and increase sales.Ability to develop sales plans to satisfy the customer needs.Ability to develop materials and presentations to both educate distributors and wholesalers and to tailor sales calls to meet customer needs.Ability to close sales.Ability to stay focused and to self-manage.Ability to meet qualitative and quantitative goalsDesire to continue growth and development in wine industryEnergetic, Organized, Mobile, Flexible and PersonablePhysical ability to lift and carry 50 pound boxesCurrent Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record.

 

Salary package commensurate with insurance – includes base pay plus lucrative bonus and excellent benefit packages.
