Receiving Supervisor

Job Purpose:

 

Receives product by evaluating product quality; unloading and storing product; while supervising staff.

 

Duties:

  Ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years experience with WMS Systems, Receiving and RF operations. Knowledge of Inventory Control is a plus. Accomplishes receiving human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures. Meets receiving operational standards by contributing receiving information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying receiving system improvements. Records receipt of product by comparing count to bill of lading; noting and determining explanation of discrepancies. Stores product by supervising unloading; placing product in staging areas. Keeps equipment operating by troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; enforcing operating procedures and preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
