Sales Rep - Wholesale distribution
Orchard Pump is a recognized leader in the on-site water/wastewater/water treatment wholesale industry in Pennsylvania. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who understands the value of autonomy to help us expand our dealer network.
Responsibilities include all facets of the wholesale distribution trade including maintaining inventory, sales calls, shipping/receiving. Our business model is such that all employees are cross-trained and are supported in their effort to make key business decisions.
Our customer base includes mechanical contractors, plumbers, well drillers, excavating contractors, commercial and industrial facilities, water treatment specialty businesses, pump specialty contractors.
Job Purpose:
Expand market share for industry leading specialty wholesaler
Duties:
* Establish new accounts and further penetrate existing accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule.
* Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
* Keeps management informed of market opportunities
* Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, merchandizing techniques, etc.
* Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
* Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; making recommendations to management.
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills/Qualifications:
Wholesale Distribution experience is a must.
Customer Service, Meeting Sales Goals, Closing Skills, Territory Management, Prospecting Skills, Negotiation, Self-Confidence, Product Knowledge, Presentation Skills, Client Relationships, Motivation for Sales, Computer skills (Excel and Word programs are used daily)
