Sales Vice President/Senior Sales Manager

Marubeni-Itochu Steel America is part of a global team trading in a wide range of steel products.  We are currently seeking a Sales Vice President/Senior Sales Manager for our Chicago office.  Responsibilities include developing new business prospects, providing quotes to customers and securing orders, and maintaining and improving current customer relationships. Reviews and negotiates settlement of claims/collections for assigned businesses.  Monitors customer credit limits and inventory levels. Coordinates logistic issues by communicating with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers in order to fulfill requests.  Reviews related documentation to ensure compliance with import/export regulations.  Investigates customer complaints regarding tolerances, specifications, and delivered condition of products.  Works with staff members engaged in providing sales/client support, i.e. invoices, purchase orders and import/export documentation and monitoring credit limits.  Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors degree along with 10 years relevant experience.  Steel experience required, experience with steels mills, steel service centers, or steel trading preferred.  Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, detail orientation and computer literacy are a must.
