Job Description

Leading distributor of commercial and residential roofing materials seeks an innovative Senior Systems Analyst on a contractual basis with the opportunity for permanent placement. Based in Atlanta, with five locations, this rapidly growing, fast-paced company offers exciting opportunities for career advancement. The Senior Systems Analyst works with all business locations within the organization to determine the appropriate technical solutions to business challenges.  In addition, the Senior Systems Analyst provides analysis and develops software related solutions.  SSA ensures correct business functionality, requirements, and organizational standards are addressed within the project solution.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance or a business-related field and have in depth knowledge of Prophet 21 application. A minimum of 4-8 years experience in IT Finance and Inventory systems development is desired.  Operational experience in manufacturing or distribution environment is a plus. Desire for continuous professional development is also a strong asset. 

Ideal candidate will communicate extremely well with users, demonstrate consistency in values, principles, and work ethic and have sensitivity to cultural diversity. In addition, will execute projects with a passion for understanding processes and continuous improvement as well as overcoming events causing unnecessary delay.  The ability to think strategically and assist in the organization, development and management of a multi-disciplinary team is a must.

IT Skills

Experience with implementing and using Activant Solutions products such as Prophet 21 either as a Solution Architect or a technical expert is a requirement. Relational database experience a plus.

Travel

Candidates must be available to travel to locations throughout the southeast (10-20% travel).
