The Hubert Company is located near Cincinnati, Ohio in Harrison.  We are the leader in providing merchandising solutions and support products to the food and retail industry.  Our customers markets are include Supermarkets, Restaurants, Hotels, Food Service Operations and Retail.  We are known for our product sourcing and fulfillment strengths. We market through multiple channels including a sales force, telesales, direct marketing and ecommerce.

 

The Sourcing Agent position is a challenging opportunity to work with suppliers and company personnel to ensure competitive pricing of quality products.  Building partnerships through fair and honest interaction with a constructive approach to problem-solving is essential.  The position requires flexibility, tenacity, and initiative.  The ideal candidate prioritizes effectively, enjoys problem-solving, is analytical and results-oriented.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

– Negotiate pricing and incentive programs with suppliers

– Ensure timely cost updates to support catalog production

– Evaluate new vendor capabilities with Hubert’s operational requirements

– Maintain system integrity of vendor level data

– Build and maintain positive and productive vendor relationships

– Manage rebate programs effectively

– Find alternative suppliers for key products to optimize value

– Support sourcing of customer special product requests 

 

Requirements include:

 

– College degree or 5-7 years product sourcing experience

– Negotiation experience with US and overseas suppliers

– Working knowledge of various types of pricing structures and associated contract terms, conditions, and legal ramifications

– Ability to travel internationally

– Proven ability to meet deadlines and multi-task

– Organized and detailed oriented

– Good communication and interpersonal skills

– PC proficient (MS Word and Excel)

– Ability to work with limited supervision

– Excellent math aptitude

– Mechanical knowledge with understanding of material characteristics related to manufacturing is a plus

– C.P.M. certification is a plus
