The Company is the leading online auction marketplace for the sale of wholesale, surplus and salvage assets. The Company is a first mover and e-commerce market leader that enables both Fortune 500 corporations and mid-size companies to enhance their financial return from the sale of excess inventory in the reverse supply chain (e.g. customer returns, seasonal shelf pulls and overstock goods). The Company has successfully driven adoption of its solution as a “best practice” in the corporate marketplace and now serves over 30 Fortune 500 corporations with an annual potential Gross Merchandise Volume (“GMV”) of over $1 billion. In response to this demand the Company has created a senior executive role to manage the penetration and expansion of its business with buyers of wholesale and “closeout” merchandise. The Vice President, Sales position will develop and expand relationships with wholesale buyers in the offline discount/dollar store and international export sectors for the sale of the company’s wholesale inventory in a wide range of product categories, including apparel, consumer electronics, and general retail merchandise. This position will develop long term recurring relations with key buyers through inside and outside sales. This position will be responsible for managing the “P&L” for all large buyer accounts, the delivery of our services, and the further penetration of each buyer account. This position will report to the EVP / General Manager of LSI’s Commercial Asset Recovery Division.Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for: (i) Managing the sales team responsible for selling large volumes of customer returned, excess and overstock merchandise from Fortune 500 clients to large buyers in the discount/dollar store and exporter sectors, including hiring, training, evaluation, and termination of employees(ii) Developing and maintaining new and existing buyer relationships, including developing services and merchandising models adapted to discount store merchandise buyer and export buyer requirements;(iii) Achieving and exceeding department gross profit sales targets with the buyer sales team;(iv) Developing and monitoring key performance indicators of each buyer client’s activities to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing investment, cost reduction and program improvement(v) Evaluating resource allocations required to ensure delivery of buyer services and suggest improvements and increased efficiency(vi) Interacting with LSI’s Marketing, Technology and Operations departments to develop processes and services adapted to specific buyer client’s needs.Key Performance Indicators: • Overall contribution margin generated by all commercial division buyer accounts• Sales cycle and inventory turnover • Successful implementation of new programs for new or existing buyer accounts• Retention and further penetration of accounts;• Hiring and retention of key talents within the teamQualifications• 10 -15 years managerial experience; • Sales management experience for consumer products (apparel, consumer electronics and general retail merchandise) on a wholesale basis; • Understanding of the dynamics of product liquidation, including pricing strategies for selling inventory, category placement, brand protection, and remarketing strategies and channels;• Significant experience in selling or buying discounted products, customer returns or off-price products; • Experience managing business-to-business telephone sales or telemarketing experience is highly preferred;• Advanced knowledge of the Internet and MS Office suite (word, excel, outlook)• Excellent communication and personnel management skills required;• Team player and leader with ability to work in cross-functional team environments and across business units;• Long term desire to play key role with an innovative company reshaping its industry;• Brings energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to the job.• Demonstrated ability to focus and prioritize operational tasks in a high growth environment;• Passion for excellence.• MBA or equivalent from top business school or equivalent, demonstrating high academic achievement.Compensation:• Base Salary : $125,000 - $150,000• Bonus %: 20 – 50%, variable compensation comprised of multiple bonuses based on mutually agreed upon goals on key performance indicators• Initial grant of stock options with a four year vesting period• 401-K plan with 50% company matching benefit• Enrollment in Company Health care plan • Short term disability insurance coverage• 5 weeks PTOThe Company is an equal opportunity employer.
