WAREHOUSE MANAGER

We are now seeking a Warehouse Manager for our distribution center in Berlin, CT. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the organization, scheduling of staff (currently at nine (9) associates) and directing the warehouse operations on a day to day basis.  They will also be responsible for shipment and inventory accuracy, warehouse productivity and efficiency levels, cycle counting, in-going and out-going freight, coordinating schedules as necessary in both shipping and receiving areas, and training of warehouse personnel to ensure a well-coordinated, efficient shipping and receiving operation.

 

This position will support our efforts to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain resulting in high-quality products, on-time delivery, cost reduction, and shipment accuracy. Must be a working manager willing to roll up sleeves and literally not be afraid to get hands dirty.

 

 

The potential candidate will have the following qualifications/job experience:

• Must have strong organizational skills, great attention to detail and high accuracy.

• Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations in a high SKU distribution environment.

• Experience with distribution inventory and order management systems and cycle count procedures.

• Knowledgeable and experienced with warehouse distribution productivity and efficiency metrics.

• Strong customer service philosophy and ability to interface with sales, purchasing, accounting, information technology, and management personnel on a daily basis. 

• Experience with Activant Prophet 21 a definite plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

• Demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple tasks and projects. 

• Ability to react to change productively and quickly and handle ad hoc tasks as required.
