Category Analyst (151174)

Assist Sales Management and Category Managers in implementing category management initiatives ensuring organization exceeds budgeted volume, NSI targets and gross profit by Business Unit.  Analyze volume, share and profit information to create sales management tools that support the business needs and necessary reporting to ensure programs are executed throughout the territory. Provide one consistent look across the organization on reporting and tracking to eliminate duplication in each of the territories/accounts.  Responsible for the management of the category/sales analysis area and supervision of other analytics including promotions. 

 

Create and provide total business review documents and presentations for all aspects of the business.  This includes accurate analysis and forecasting case sales and profit by brand, package, channel, and key accounts

Lead management of promotional planner process, and maintenance of RPA reporting for key customers

Prepare consumer analysis, support and proposals for programs to optimize Coca-Cola sales, promotion frequency, merchandising effectiveness, retail pricing, and package mix.

Leads analysis of AC Nielsen scan and panel data – market demographics, scanner sales, etc. 

Participates in internal customer team meetings.  Assists in implementing category management initiatives including assortment, and pricing, promotion and merchandising programs. 

 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education required.

3-4 years experience performing data analysis required.

CPG industry experience required.

Beverage industry experience preferred.

Category management exposure a plus.

Knowledge of Margin Minder preferred

Strong working knowledge of syndicated data – i.e. AC Nielsen

Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

Detail-oriented

Good oral and written communications skills

Ability to work in a team environment

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and assignments

Ability to think analytically and interpret data

Strong presentation preferred.
