Controller Trainee

POSITION SUMMARY

Assists the Plant Controller in all phases of office operations.

Requires constant interaction with work group and other departments at the primary work location.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/MAJOR DUTIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :Supervises work of subordinates. Assists Controller in preparation and presentation of Profit or Loss Reports. Matches invoices to proper receiving tickets from the Receiving Clerk. Distribution of Payroll Checks. Prepares financial reports including bank deposits, cashier sheets, etc. Reconciles Cash Disbursement, Payroll and outstanding bank accounts. Prepares Managers Report. Analyzes General Ledger Accounts. Maintains cleanliness of work area. Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.) Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/REQUIREMENTS

LICENSE-

None required.

MOBILITY-

Ability to move to all administrative and inventory areas of plant.

SENSORY-

Ability to generate written communication, operate computer keyboard and other required office equipment. Near vision enough to read and review written communication.

COMMUNICATION-

Speech and hearing enough to communicate clearly and distinctly in English (in person and via telephone), or another language if required.

OTHER -

Ability to retrieve and replace work related materials (files, documents, etc.) from storage area.  Must be willing to relocate upon completion of training period.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

6 months to 1 year of accounting experience, internships included.

DESIRED EDUCATION

Four year degree in Business Administration/Major in Accounting.
