Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

As the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will be responsible for every aspect of Burton’s financial planning process.  The primary responsibilities of this position include: coordinating the development, execution and communications of our budget and forecasting process; supporting the analytical needs of the product, sales, marketing, operations and administrative departments; developing and providing management tools that support the analytical & planning needs of the organization.  This person will direct the implementation of new reporting initiatives, including key metrics and processes.  In addition, you will lead a team of analysts operating as business partners within the organization. 

Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field with a minimum of 8 years financial analysis experience. 

The candidate must have a strong understanding of the income statement, balance sheet, sales/margin analysis, expense control, cash flow and leveraging the assets of the corporation.  The position requires a high level of knowledge in the use and development of analytical tools and models.  Must be willing to get out in the organization and connect with business partners, as well as work hand in hand with Accounting to leverage work performance.  A vertically integrated industry background preferred. Prior management of a financial planning group is strongly preferred.
