Plant Administrative Assistant / Quality Assurance Specialist

Five Star Frozen Foods, Inc., manufacturer of Orv's Pizza, seeks an upbeat, conscientious, self-starting professional to provide administrative support to USDA plant management staff. 

 

General Description:

Participate in the design and daily functions of QA Program to ensure positive results in areas of financial performance, manufacturing processes, materials management and inventory control. Perform QA and Safety Audits and provide trend data to site management. Use data management systems to compile and track performance, materials, purchase orders, and lot assignments. Assist warehouse personnel process and post daily shipment transactions to ensure accurate and timely inventory reporting. Reconcile physical inventory. Complete on-demand/routine reporting. Develop and maintain forms/spreadsheets. Provide backup to Plant Superintendent in functions of HACCP/SSOP, production scheduling, and plant personnel hiring processes. Success in this position requires a high level of communication internally and externally to ensure projects meet standards as well as deadlines. Hired applicant must complete HACCP certification within 6 months of hire. Must be available to work weekends, overtime, and alternate hours as necessary.

Work Experience Requirements:One to two years previous experience in the areas of production / operations, inventory control, and/or quality assurance in a USDA manufacturing environment preferred One to two years previous office experience Intermediate level of knowledge/expertise with PC hardware and software (Word, Excel, Access, ERP) Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills Exceptional listening and analytical skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline sensitive environment Demonstrated ability to work well independently and in a team environment
