Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Daily Job Responsibilities

 

Establish and plan the shipping schedule for all outbound sales orders

 

Outbound orders will include International orders - must have working knowledge of tariffs, NAFTA, and proper paperwork



Main contact for vendor compliance - cross check shipments for accuracy

 

Process on a daily basis all UPS and FedEx shipments

 

Daily EDI processing including advance ship notifications and invoicing.  Must be familiar with UCC128 labeling

 

Schedule all trucks for daily pick-up and determine best freight rates

 

Daily interaction with trucking companies to ensure on time delivery to customers

 

Maintain prompt and accurate communication with in-house customer service team and with leadership team

 

Directs movement of shipments from overseas suppliers and works with freight forwarders

 

Tracks and presents outbound on-time shipping to leadership team on a weekly basis

 

Assist leadership team with record keeping as directed

 

Provide data for daily, weekly, and monthly sales and warehouse report

 

Heavy customer service assistance

 

Handles customer inquires via email, phone, and fax

 

Works with warehouse and production employees

 

 

Experience

High School diploma or GED equivalent required

1+ years of related warehouse/shipping experience in high-volume shipping role

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Must be a quick learner and adaptable

Must have a working knowledge of each system: UPS, FedEx, and DHL

Good organizational and time-management skills

Experience with International shipping and US Customs requirements

Creative thinking and problem solving skills are needed

Must be flexible to work long hours as requested

Ability to work independently

English/Spanish bilingual is a plus
