Turkey Hill Dairy (THD), located in southern Lancaster County, manufactures ice cream, milk, yogurt and a line of flavored refrigerated iced teas.  THD has over 600 employees and runs a three-shift operation.  THD has been in the dairy business since the 1930s and has made major additions to the plant throughout the 1990s until today.

The Staff Accountant II is responsible for reporting, analyzing, and budgeting data regarding the financial outlook of the company and the profitability of its products and customers.  This person will work closely with the Controller and Assistant Controller on various projects.

 

Includes:

 Prepares various sales related monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports including the customer promotional analysis report, and profitability analysis using Tableau and Internet reporting.Compare IRI sales data to promotional claims from customers.Analyze promotion expenses on the general ledger.Initiate sales budget process and work with Sales Managers to complete sales budget.  Report on actual sales compared to budgeted sales.Complete government and manufacturing surveys.Maintain customer basic group database and update it yearly.Monitor incoming EDI purchase order price verification compared to THD price schedules.

 

Job requirements include:

 Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance and 1-2 years of related work experience.Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of database functions/Tableau.Good written and oral communication skills.
