Food & Beverage Industry Leader has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a dynamic, experienced VP of R&D Product Development in its new Texas location!Lead a first-class team and enjoy an innovative, collaborative atmosphere.  Salary and Benefit Compensation Package are first-class. Job Description: Lead development teams by applying knowledge of properties and interactions of raw materials to development and manufacturing of new products, and improvement of existing products. This position covers both renovation of existing products and commercialization of new products across categories; Identify, screen and develop new opportunities outside of company.  Primarily focused toward new products buy may also include opportunities related to value optimization and quality improvement; Identify, recommend, and bring about solutions in the transfer of new products from development to manufacturing (i.e. covering all aspects of product development from concept to commercialization); Encourage creativity in the viable design of new beverage products within multi-functional teams to meet consumer & Operational needs; Motivate and mentor product development teams to work in a collaborative and cross-functional fashion. Qualifications: 12+ years relevant experience in Product Development and/or related experience; MUST have Beverage experience; BS in Food Science at a minimum, MS preferred, PhD highly desirable; Demonstrated Leadership ability - ability to lead direct reports and a team of 25+ individuals; Strong knowledge of Food / Beverage industry products and manufacturing processes; Solid problem-solving abilities; Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; Ability to motivate teams against common objectives.
